FAQ’S

1. Can Physical Therapy help me?

Yes. In a vast majority of cases, physical therapy can improve or resolve most ailments. In the case of chronic diseases, Physical therapy offers interventions that can help individuals recover from acute declines, maximize the individuals functional potential and improve strength, ROM, assist in pain management and offer education to keep each person as independent as possible.

2. Does Physical Therapy hurt?

It is not true that physical therapy is commonly a horrific painful experience. In fact, in most cases patients are provided services with little to no discomfort at all. The staff at O2 Rehab Solutions, LLC is experienced and well versed in interventions and comforting techniques to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Pain tolerance does vary person to person. Post surgical clients may have more discomfort related to the acuity of their recent procedure and it is recommended to attempt to time pain medication 30 min prior to session to increase overall comfort.

3. What happens in my first visit?

Our focus is to learn more about you. You will undergo a comprehensive evaluation process. The first visit will consist with history taking and performance of several test and measure to establish your baseline and goals. If time permits, the therapist will begin treatment.

4. What should I bring to my first visit?  Do I come early?

Yes. We recommend arrival approximately 15 minutes prior to first session. To make the process easier for you, we have forms available on line to decrease the strain of first visit paperwork.

Please bring with you the following items:

  • A valid form of ID, such as your drivers license

  • Bring your insurance card(s)

  • Prescription if not already provided

  • Reports from previous diagnostic testing not previously forwarded.

  • Be prepared for co-payment.

5. How long are sessions?

Session length varies depending on visit type and or diagnosis. Expect 30-60 min sessions.

6. What insurances do you accept?

We have contracts with Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, BCBS.

7. Do I need to see my doctor first?

Yes and no. To be seen In the state of Georgia without a visit to your doctor first, the law requires the following.

  • The therapist providing your care has a doctorate in physical therapy. O2Rehab Solution physical therapist are doctor’s within the profession.

  • The therapist must have 5 years experience. O2 Rehab Physical therapist each have 12+ years experience.

  • 21 days or eight visits from the initiation of the physical therapy plan of intervention, the PT must receive a referral from the patient’s physician or dentist.

  • These rules do not apply if receiving services related to health promotion, wellness, fitness, or maintenance purposes.

  • These rules do not apply if the patient was diagnosed within the previous nine months with a neuromuscular or developmental condition when the evaluation, treatment or services are being provided for problems or symptoms associated with that previously diagnosed condition.

  • These rules do not apply if the patient diagnose within previous 90 days with a chronic musculoskeletal condition and noted by a a current relevant document from an appropriate licensed health care provider.

  • If you find that confusing, ask us what you need at the time you schedule your appointment.

8. What do I wear?

Dress for exercise. Loose comfortable clothing is best, that allows the therapist to access the location being treated. Clothing best avoided:  dresses, skirts, tight fitting pants. Often these garments cause unwanted exposure during the different therapeutic exercises and activities performed and tight clothing can limit movement desired during the treatment session. Gym shoes recommended.
